[comp.sys.amiga.games] F18 Funny missions !!!!

paul@abekrd.co.uk (Paul Cameron) (03/27/91)

I put an entry in this group a few days ago asking if there were any
more missions for F/A 18 Interceptor after No.6.

I've had a response as readers can see, for which I am most grateful,
however I have found a number of `funny' missions from somewhere else that I
thought readers of this group might be interested in.

	* On booting up select free flight from the main menu (option 2).

	* When asked to select a runway to take off from do not select any of
the ones specified but go for a non existent one like 6, 7, 8, or 9.

	* Now select an aircraft.

The game will zoom in to the plane WAY off to the east of the map area,
and the plane will be seen sitting on the grass in the middle of nowhere. It's
a long way back to the Bay area but if you point the plane at 270 degrees at
100% power (no afterburner) you will have enough fuel to get back with some to
spare for flying about a bit. It probably takes a good 10 minutes or so to get
back so be patient.

What one is meant to do back at the Bay area is still a mystery to me
and if anyone can refuel or find something useful to blow to bits let me know !

P.S. Still no sign of Mr. Dinnerman !

Sorry to disappoint you, but apart from flying fast, there is nothing to
do in these "missions"! - you can fly, and land, and ... um .. fly. Not
much fun unless you are looking to practise navigation!

Cheers.
