[comp.sys.amiga.games] I stink at Turrican

barrett@jhunix.HCF.JHU.EDU (Dan Barrett) (04/17/91)

OK -- I've seen all these postings from expert arcade-gamers
saying that "Turrican" is so easy. Well, I can't beat it. In fact, I
haven't even gotten past the second level. Obviously, I am just not so
good at fast-action games. But then again, I don't play them for 16
hours per day. :-)

Any tips on how I can improve my playing? I'd like to see more
of the game, but I am sick of those first 2 levels. Why didn't Innerprise
allow you to continue from the spot where your last game ended???

                                                        Dan

Well, first off Dan, what you really need is a *GOOD* joystick! With
Turrican, a good joystick will make all the difference!!! Second,
Turrinan does let you continue games, but puts you back at the first
part of each level. The game is easy enough as it is, if it allowed
you to continue where you died, it'd be too easy (especially when you
take into account all of the free lives the game gives you).

Heh.. Turrican 1 is hard?! Well.. I agree.. Type BLUEMOBIL on the high score list and you will then have 99 lives. However, try Turrican 2!! This game should be bought by ANYONE who LIKED the first. It is hard, but after about 10 go's you'll be ge

ARGH!! Type BLUESMOBIL on the high score list NOT BLUEMOBIL!! Sorry about that!
