Thanks for all the responses to my posting 'fun in seattle?'. The three of us had a great time on Saturday. The first stop was downtown Seattle near the Pike Street Market. This is a must for anyone visiting the city - lots of fresh fish, arts & crafts, souvenirs, and clothing shops. Pastry shops and vendors provided lots of selection for people wandering around with the munchies. At one spot there was a man selling these round pancake balls filled with jam - Danish pancakes I think. We walked South to Pioneer Square to a pub called 'Doc ????' where there is a neat underground tour. It only costs $3.50 and is well worth it. We ate at a couple of good spots - Red Robin Burgers and Mamounian, which is a Moroccan food experience. Heading North, we checked out some great views high up on some logging roads East of Everett (60 miles north of Seattle). When we returned, we passed through some town in the foothills which had coffee for only 15 cents a large cup! Returning to Seattle, we went up the 600' Space Needle to get an idea of the city's size. The problem was that it had gotten too dark to see the mountains, however the lights below were impressive. All in all, we enjoyed our short trip to Seattle. It's a clean, friendly city with lots happening in sports and outdoor activities. I wouldn't hesitate to live there if I get the job... If anyone wants more information, send me a note and I'll send you the replies I received earlier. Peter Koning
