		**** RANCHO BERNARDO, CA ****

I am seeking information about Rancho Bernardo, Ca. I am planning on
taking advantage of their golf package (4 days - 3 nights) and am
wondering if anyone has been there or knows anything about it. Any
information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Kathleen....

Having lived in San Diego for the five years between 1980 and 1985, I am
somewhat familar with Rancho Bernardo. I do not, however, have an infor-
mation regarding their golf package. I would suggest that, instead of
purchasing a package to Rancho Bernardo which is about 20 miles northeast
of downtown San Diego, you take in the whole city. San Diego has more
golf courses per capita than any city in the world and I'm sure you can
get a better package if you stay in the city.

Rancho Bernardo, although a nice suburb, is small and sometimes quite
smoggy. It sits in a valley about 25 miles from the ocean, causing it
to be very warm in the summer.

A suggestion would be to get a hotel room on Harbor Island, which is
very near the airport, water, restaurants, etc. and golf at Torrey Pines.
