Hi, I hope someone out there can help me run (at least partially) Wizardry VI: Bane of the Cosmic Forge from RAM The setup: A1000 with A1010 external floppy, 512K chip and 2M fast RAM. The problem: To be able to copy at least the first disk (BANE_A) to available RAM to help alleviate some of the frequent and interminably slow disk accesses. My problem is that after bsically recreating BANE_A: on RAM: (RAD:, vd0:, whatever... I've tried all three) and assigning whatever was previously assigned to BANE_A: to the RAM device, when I try starting the program it blanks the screen for a second as if it were beginning, but then returns to the state from which I try to start it. This is also the same behaviour I get when I try to start the program when I boot from a disk other than BANE_A. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong or missing would be greatly appreciated. I guess while I am on the subject of improving on Bane, does anyony know how I could go about loading those cruddy .ega images into a paint program so that they could be edited (and hopefully improved)? -baron // uhccux amiga archive | amiga@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu | amiga@uhccux.bitnet \X/ "just another peon" | baron@uhunix.uhcc.hawaii.edu | baron@uhccux.bitnet
