This is general information ! The sequel is called Z-OUT, and is much better than X-OUT. The animation is still top quality, with lots and lots of sprites, horizontal scrolling with small vertical scroll, but it has some more features: -You don't have one ship at the beginning. You have five. -You must collect weapons as in R-TYPE, not in a shop at the beginning of each level. -Two players can play as a team (Great feature) ! -Weapons are more impressive -Levels and end-of-level monsters are bigger than in X-out -The playability is much better. -...but it is not a game for begginners. I just reached the third level out of five, but I haven't played much yet. -One of the levels is very much inspired by the film "Alien", and it's very nice. A very good shoot'em'up. But If I was you, I'd buy instead SWIV, which is definately the best shoot'em'up available for our machine. Far from the others !!! SWIV is more playable, has better animation, no disk loading (It has a dynamic loader, so that the game never stops. You can play for 30 minutes with continuous action), and is much more fun !!! ------------------------------------------ Michel Buffa: Projet Robotvis, INRIA, France Internet: buffa@sardaigne.inria.fr Surface Mail: Michel BUFFA, INRIA - Sophia Antipolis, 2004, route des Lucioles, 06565 Valbonne Cedex -- FRANCE Voice phone: (33) 93.65.78.39, Fax: (33) 93 65 77 65 ------------------------------------------

Michel Buffa syays SWIV is the best SEU ever made for the machine. I would have to disaagree. The gfx are great, but it is too hard/frustrating to play. The enemy shots cannptot be disvecerned from the ground. I /WANTED/ to LOVE this game, being a fan of gseu's myself, and could not do it. Also: Does Z-0Out work in NTSC? I have npott not seen it in the local stores, and asasume therefore, it doesn';tt.

Don't know about Z-Out. By the way, SWIV works on the 68000 only. They create their own stack frames and RTE in many places. -- Dan Babcock

Typical Euro hack. I would like to play this and many other
games, too bad they still view the Amiga this way, it is annoying
in 1991. Makes me wonder what systems they develop on.
I can say the target machine is not an Amiga, since Amiga software,
as defined by C= guidelines, will run on all stock Amiga Machines,
including the A3000.

Nyah! With an A2500/A3001 you can REVERT to 68000 and play this WAYCOOL game. Swiv is the brilliant successor to Silkworm. I've made it to 49%, but no further. You know when you die that you died because of your own mistakes. Dac --
