ok i know i have to use the axe to get into the goblin fortress,
ie. to shoot the guy winding in the drawbridge,
but how the ^&%$ is it done?
EVERY time i try i kill him AFTER the drawbridge is in...
would someone please tell me EXACTLY how to do it...
thanks for all the help on the springboard/rock trick (everyone!)

All you have to do to kill the guy reeling in the bridge is to stand at the highest point on the hill and fire your axes. If that doesn't work, try standing on the bridge directly in front of the door and shoot your axes as you jump.
