Ok, here's the situation:
I'm back to playing Chaos Strikes Back after a long break, and was having
pretty decent luck until yesterday. I've found one corbum, have been up
to the FulYa Pit by what I *think* was the KU pathway, and now find myself
back in the DDD.
And therein lies the problem.
There is one pit that I cannot get around, over, or through, no matter what
I try. It blocks a short corridor leading to a staircase and also blocks
another corridor that I have never been down. How do I get across this
pit???
Another question, also relating to the DDD: There is one place where I stand
where I can see a metal grate door from the corner of my eye; it is to the
upper right hand side. There is also a pit blocking this entrance/exit. How
do I get to the portacullis?
I really would like to finish this game before I collect my Social Security.
Any hints?

WARNING THESE HINTS MAY RUIN SOME OF THE PROBLEMS IN THE GAME. STOP READING WHEN (/IF) YOU'VE GOT A HINT NEEDED. To get to the short corridor: In the entrance hall to the DDD there is a pressureplate that only react on monsters. Scare a monster onto the plate and freeze it. This will allow you to get to the southern corridor and down the first stair there. You will after some time on that way find yourself in the short corridor. To get to the long corridor: In the short corridor there is a secret button that removes a wallpiece. Get down the stairs behind it to enter a large room. Behind a porticullis in that room is an eye in the wall. Prove that you are a ninja for the eye and the much becursed pit on the level above will dissapear. I hope this will help you. GOOD LUCK!
