[comp.sys.amiga.games] Help requested for Amiga Empire

cg@ami-cg.UUCP (Chris Gray) (05/06/91)

Sorry to post, but my mail couldn't get through.
Hmm. I also seem to have deleted the failed mail and the original article,
so I don't know who was asking. Anyway...

The poster was asking how to get Amiga Empire to work with some custom
serial network he had set up.

If your network connections can respond as if they were a standard serial
device, then you need only start up SerEmp giving it the name of your
device and the unit number for the connection, and you are done. See the
documentation on SerEmp for the flags needed.

If you cannot do this, and the local client, Empire, will not start up
correctly from a shell coming in from your net, then you will have to write
a new client program which interfaces between your network and the Empire
server (EmpServ). Full sources for Amiga Empire are available - look in
files Client/Empire.d and Include/EmpLib.g for the information you will
need.
