CSB (possible) Spoilers Follow (in form of questions) OK, CSB gurus... I found the KU corbum and know where the FUL YA pit is. But, am I supposed to destroy them 1 by 1 or all 4 at once? Since I can save and toss one in (just for kicks) I'll get to more important ?'s. Like, "How do I get to the other "corbum paths" ??? From KU, DAIN & NETA I rampage up a couple of levels and always end up at the same DDD entrance (the one with the "coin-op treasure caches"). I've gone up the stairs, down the "trust me", thru the "dead end" (thanks tothe couple of replies on that one), porked out on dragon steaks and then up & up. I've found a few doors I can't get thru, many w/out keyholes. Oh, as a point of curiosity. Is that "DAMN" fireball machine do anything useful (other than fry adventures) on the top level. I opened a few doors, inserted a few coins, & voila 1 "*VERY* well done" magician - had to jump down a few holes to revive her & then fight my way back up w/ her in her birthday suit. thanks, steve -- ADMS - faster than a speeding barn?!?

RE: COMPLETING THE OTHER CORBUM PATHS.....Well, as I outlined to someone recently, you MUST go to the conclusion of each WAY (to the CORBUM PILLAR) from the DDD. Hopefully you have all the keys! It's an EMERALD KEY for ROS, a SOLID KEY for KU, a TURQUOISE KEY for NETA and a RUBY key for DAIN. If you are missing one or more, you must have missed/ not completed a section of the beginnings of the 4 WAYS If you are referring to the doors on the CHAOS LEVEL that you can't seem to get through, you must access these from the OTHER side, and actually from another WAY. The FIREBALL GENERATOR should NOT be turned on until you complete the winding path that the fireballs will be deflected along (some deflectors use a key, others a coin) when turned on, the WRATH OF GOD MACHINE will direct fireballs into the DEMONS' LAIR and destroy a good number of them. However, onr of the DEMONS carries the MASTER KEY which is fine if you already found it. DON'T open the DEMON'S LAIR door w/the SKELETON KEY, until AFTER the WRATH OF GOD MACHINE has done its work! You can destroy each CORBUM one at a time, but I think it's easier to do the 4 at once. Where would I get a winged key? I know this has been asked before...
Also, why didn't someone tell me about W o G *before* I let the demons
out? I think I'm a gonna start over. Even though I do have 2 corbums, it's
just too hard - I can't get the winged key, and I lost my skeleton key.
*#$#$.
I think this game has one major problem - it tends to be on/off. Either
you can slaughter creatures with little effort, or they pound you. In DM
I there were some nice fights, where it was a pretty fair match. Here, if
something is even a threat, it will probably kill me... Although the
majority of the dragons (like, the 6 or so in the Tightrope area) are
susceptable to 2/3 MON DES VEN spells...
Also, is it intentional that, at least for a while, you keep getting more
stuff in "supplies for the quick"? After I cleared it out once, I came back
and found dragon armor there.
And, finally, can anyone get the cheat mode to work? I know it sounds stupid
to ask about cheat mode after killing every dragon in the game (except one
that I sometimes hear walking about), but I'm really sick of having to pay
attention to these **** monsters; I'd rather just concentrate on the puzzles
as such. Fighting is something one gets *rather* sick of.
Overall, though, I must admit it is a fascinating game - though, once you
get going, it's *much* easier to keep going than DM was. I think I went from
"Make Adventure" to my second lump of corbum (I did KU/ROS) in about 6 hours.
DM took me a *lot* longer...

RE: THE CHEAT ON CHAOS.......Hi, Linda. You quoted text from a letter that was NOT written by me! I was responding to that particular guy (whose message you quoted) as he was having a terrible time with the section of DAIN that he was in. Anyhow, no problem. The cheat you are referring to is a joke - April Fool's joke to be precise. Anybody experienced with Dungeon Master or Chaos Strikes Back would realize that MON ZO GOR SAR would evoke nothing except "LOR mumbles an indecipherable spell" Keep writing and let me know how you're doing. RE: Hints and tips for CHAOS....Just follow the USENET AMIGA GAMES base, Rick. there should be lots going on! But, throw out a few areas where you had difficulty, or didn't get into a particular area, or a way to achieve a goal in the game that might be easier - or whatever. If I know where you mean, I can help you out! For someone who has gotten a ways in this game: What is 'the power' that is asked for in the dragon lair area (the room with 3 rooms with dragons in rooms around it)? In one of the rooms a message next to an 'eye' askes: Do you have the power? What functions on the 'eye'? Thanx VERY much on any help.
