[comp.sys.amiga.games] Omega 1.5 - Why does it guru?

LEIF@SLACVM.SLAC.STANFORD.EDU (05/03/91)

Some time back I downloaded AmiOmega (I think v1.3) and have been playing it on
and off, but was getting annoyed with frequent lock-ups. I found Omega1.50 on
AB20, and immediatly dl'ed and set it up. Problem: when I try to go into the
first dungeon in the botanical gardens (rampart), I get the guru! I really
liked playing version 1.3, and would like 1.5 much better, I'm sure, that is
IF I could get it to run! Any ideas, similar experiences, etc...? Should I
just give up on this game, or is there some known fix to this problem???
Thanks in advance, all answers, comments, etc. appreciated. You can E-mail if
this subject has already been covered on the net while I wasn't looking.

Hi

Maybe this is a solution, of the crash problems, that I got from
Mike Shapiro (Zerg):

-> If it makes you feel better, I've never had Omega crash on me
->(I have an A3000/25 with 2 megs of FAST RAM) except after I die.
->However, I found that once I got my extra memory, I had to make sure
->that most of the memory was *not* free at the time I loaded the program.
-> (I solve this by copying the program Omega to RAM:, then deleting it
->once it's loaded.)

Besides, if you cannot reach mars try louie.udel.edu /pub
