I have just purchased the superlative "Secret of Monkey Island" from LucasFilms but I am having real trouble trying to get it to like my harddrive. I own a ST506 40 Mb harddrive and Spirit Technologies controller stuck onto the DMA port of my A500. If I boot the software from floppy (but with my hard drive attached), everything seems to go OK until I try and save a game. At this point, a box appears, with a message "please insert save game disk", and so I put my formatted disk in a drive. Instead of then letting me save the game the computer freezes and all the lights on all of my drives come on but no activity occurs. At this point I have to reboot the system. If I try installing the game on my harddrive, using their installer program then I don't even get as far as I did above, because the program freezes in a similar way but just after the copy protection section. Is anyone else having similar problems with their setup, and if so, do they have any ideas how to fix this so that I can at least save a game without disconnecting my hard drive (which is the only way at the moment) ? I would be particulary happy to hear from some of the authors, of the game on why this is happening. Thanks in advance, Adam Lock
