bosman@fwi.uva.nl (Dr.D) (05/17/91)

I am in part 3 in the ghostship.
I have the ghostfeather and the grog.
What now? I tried everything on anything (I think) so I suppose I forgot
something somewhere (hope it isn't in another part)
I think I need the key from the captian's room. but how?

Thanks ..

Hi monkey players!
I need some help with the famous Monkey Island(tm). I'm on Monkey Island
and dont know anything that i can do now. I have the lens, the
firestone, the rope, different papers and other useless stuff.

how can i open the wall between the river and the dry river?
or what can i do at the monkey head? (the gate always falls down when i
pull the nose and then go to the gate)
any idea?

To bust the dam, find something explosive- most likely near the fort
on the island. As for the monkey head, I dunno: what are you doing to
open it in the first place?

Just blow it up. You need some gun-powder.

Try to get the monkey to help you.

And so do I. I finally got aboard the Sea Monkey. My three worthless
crew memebers are soaking up rays while I try to make some headway. I have
explored the galley, the bilges area the crow's nest, and of course the main
deck. I have been able to fire the cannon twice, but nothing happened as a
result.

I would like to know:

How do I open the Captain's Oak Cabinet?
How do I steer the ship/get to Monkey Island, etc....?
Is there anything I can do about the *&%$I crew????
How do I open any/all of the chests down in the bilge area? Is it worth my
time?

I noticed that a lot of the stuff I had on the island disappeared when I got
the ship...my stewed meat, for example, and my shovel and sword. Am I
still suppposed to have these things?

Right now I am dead in the water. What do I do to get going again?

Jean

Use something explosiv to blow up the wall. The fort is an obvious place to
look.
Bribe the monkey to hold down the nose for you. (If you give him enough of what
he likes he will follow you. You know what monkeys like, don't you ?).

Allright, I am in LeChuck's ship. All "ive gotten so far is a ghost chiicken
feather. I am positively stuck! (I've got the key, BTW, and has lead me
to rats). Halp!

What you can do at the monkey head:
1. Collect bananas (you must have 5)
2. Feed the (normal) monkey (you'll find him near the place where you landed)
   The monkey will follow you.
3. Pull the nose down, the monkey will do that, too...

Try to find something to eat and you'll find the key for the cabinet,
it should be easy then to be steered to Monkey Island (TM)...

When you arrived there, remember what you did with
a cannon in Part 1...

If I had a feather, I'd be awfully tempted to tickle someone's feet
with it......

This is the point where I got stuck too. The solution isn't very
obvious. Remember what was written on the magnetic compas ?
do *NOT* hold near any metal objects. That should give you
a clue.

Oooppssss... forget my last posting. You got to get past the rats:
Did you use the ghost feather ? (What's the most logical thing to
do with a feather). If you did you know what item to give to the
rats. Keep on going, you're close to the end.

As far as I know, you need to go to the governers for the item that will get you the file, no? And once there it tells you flat out what you need a file for, maybe you missed it..oh well, anyways, go to the governers the file will open up the lock for the Idol of Many hands

Well he is in the 'house' which is past the bridge, which you seem to have trouble getting by

Well he asks for something useless, right? what is more useless than a
Red Herring? (Which you past find in the kitchen of the Scumm Bar)

>Do the series of three letter groups from the pirates with the rat

As far as I know, no the pirates are only good for getting the two pieces of eight, and the lousy minutes, but i havent finished the game yet (I am on Monkey Island now)..
