A N N O U N C I N G info-mac at lth.se [130.235.16.3] This is a shadow of the info-mac archive at sumex-aim.stanford.edu. It is located at Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden, Europe. The shadow archive was initiated by people at Dept. of Computer Science and has been encouraged by Apple Sweden (thanks). Updated daily at about 4:00 UTC from sumex. Access is by annonymous ftp. Mail-server planned. Look in directory Mac/Info-mac. Other interesting Mac things can be found in the Mac directory. Unix related mac things in Mac/Unix (CAP and others). If you have interesting Mac things you can place them in the In-coming directory and send a email to: Peter.Moller@dna.lth.se describing it, and it might be added to the archive. Check README file in In-coming directory for rules. Dan Oscarsson & Peter Moller Dept. of Computer Science Lund Institute of Technology Lund, Sweden Message from the previous info-mac shadow at sics.se ================================================================ I see the above announcement as a very good thing! We will now have a +supported+ mac database in Sweden with not only info-mac, but other interesting mac stuff as well. We may discontinue the info-mac shadow we have been running at SICS, we may not. But that will be a local matter depending on the needs of our local users. With an 'official' service offered by Lund, I do not feel any measureble responsibility for our shadow towards non-local people. We do however, offer mail-server which Lund does not, so for the time being we will continue business as usual for a while. Thank you Lund and Apple Sweden for this service! /hans Hans Eriksson (hans@sics.se) Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS), Box 1263, S-164 28 KISTA, Sweden Tel: +46 8 752 1527 Fax: +46 8 751 7230 Home: +46 8 32 68 97 ================================================================ -- Dan Oscarsson Department of Computer Science Lund Institute of Technology e-mail: Dan.Oscarsson@dna.lth.se Box 118 S-221 00 Lund, Sweden
