[comp.sys.mac.announce] usernetter's dinner at the WWDC

peirce@decwrl.dec.com (Michael Peirce) (05/07/91)

Well, although some people said Tuesday was out for them, more people
said that Tuesday was the best night. So Tuesday it is. Hope that
doesn't upset too many people (maybe there can be a more informal
get together Thursday night too?)

[ why not simply have a USEnet BoF at both Tue and Thu?!?
simply show up - reservations be damned ...(or is that
	  a Texan's oversimplification? :-] ---Werner
	]

A couple of people suggested we go to Gordon Biersch (is that how
you spell it???), a local Brew Pub. They have *excellent* beer that
they brew on the premises and pretty good food too. I talked to
them and they have no problem with a group of around 30 - as long
as we warn them about it ahead of time.

A second option could be Original Joe's. Original Joe's serves good
Italian food about a block from the convention center. They can put
us in a "banquet" room. You pay a fixed price ($17.95 or $18.95 with
all the wine you can drink) for a selection of food.

My preference if for Gorden Biersch. But Original Joe's is good too.
And if anyone thinks these two choices stink, they can vote no and
I'll look around some more.

So, send in your votes. Vote for either

  [ ] Gordon Bierch
  [ ] Original Joe's
[ ] Ick, I don't like either. Find something better Michael!
  [ ] I don't believe in democracy.

I've heard from the following folks. If you aren't on the list, please
let me know. Also if Tuesday is a no go, also let me know so I can
remove you from the list. I'd like to tell the restaurant close to
the number of people we expect so they can have the space reserved
for us.
