When VIA Rail Canada converted their passenger cars from "smoking permitted"
and "cigarettes only" sections back to smoking and non-smoking a few years ago,
they proclaimed it with these signs (which I think are still in use):

How true.
Unfortunately, the French translation given was more precise.
