I am hoping to be home in Britain in the early spring, and would like to travel around by train a little. I have heard that rail tickets can be bought here in America, more cheaply than in Britain. Does anyone know how much cheaper they are, and where I can get them. I am not a student. Thanks, Ken Cochran, hou5d!kwmc

You can call the British Tourist Office in New York City for info on rail tickets. I did a similar thing for Swiss Rail Pass a few years ago. Saved a bunch! You normally have to get it a few weeks in advance and specify the exact days you plan on using it. It is definitely worth looking into! John Barrett

Make sure your tickets are for the trains which travel on the left side of the tracks :-).
