Is there any soft ware around that salvages GIFS which are 'corrupt'. I quite often come across GIF files in which the edges of picture (and thus the picture) wanders all over the place (rather like a random shearing effect) i.e. a picture like this (poor artist's impression) --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- --000000-----oooooo----- ends up looking skewed - like this:- --000000-----oooooo------ ---000000-----oooooo----- -----000000-----000000--- 000000------oooooo------- -000000------oooooo------ 00000-----oooooo--------0 0000-----oooooo--------00 -----oooooo-----000000--- i.e. all over the place !! Is there anything to fix these GIFS ? or should I just consign them into oblivion ??
