Some people have noted that the binutils patches don't apply properly. It turns out the the version of binutils on prep.ai.mit.edu is *not* the most recent. I have a version of binutils which has entries in the ChangeLog by FSF people (including RMS) more recent than the binutils.tar.Z on prep! I have know idea where we got our version (direct from someone at the FSF?) but it looks like they have stuffed up or that we got an interim release. Anyway, so that you can all apply the patches, I have created a set of patches against the version currently on prep. The patches are available for anonymous ftp from augean.ua.oz.au. Please note that there are several versions of the patches. Note that they are just that -- versions of the same patches and not a sequence of patches. You do *not* need to apply binutils.patch1.0.Z and binutils.patch1.1.Z before applying binutils.patch1.2.Z. Ian Dall
