Within the past year, probably 2 or 3 issues ago, one of the electronics magazines or hobby electronics magazines had a "How to Build Your Own Robot" article. The only detail I remember is that it used a Radio Shack electronic car for the base. I believe the parts were under $ 200.00 and I think there were some optical (IR) or sonar sensors. Also, the article was only one issue long. Can anyone provide the reference ? Any experience with the project? Also, I just found an inexpensive remote control hovercraft. I want to find out if the motors have sufficient power to use as the robot base. I doubt it, but I pass along the idea. Please send the reference to me and post it, too. I believe other would be interested. Thanx, Hank Simon

You might check out the article on BERT in BYTE magazine a couple of years ago. Sorry I don't have a better reference than that. -- --Chuck McManis Sun Microsystems uucp: {anywhere}!sun!cmcmanis BIX: <none> Internet: cmcmanis@Eng.Sun.COM These opinions are my own and no one elses, but you knew that didn't you.
