I just received a flyer from UMI/Microbot announcing a special deal for educational institutions, namely, an RT-100 Light Industrial Robot (SCARA) for half price, $9000 instead of $18000. Does anyone have any experience with these machines? It looks like an offer that is hard to refuse (if your dept has the $9000, of course :-) ). Comments would be welcome.
