I'm a poor facilities manager who is going to be doing robotics support. (Actually it sounds like fun!). We are building a robot that has a vision processing module that will be implemented using a sparc processor and Datacube Digicolor and Framestore boards. The latter are 6U VME boards. One possibility is that we use a 6U Eurocard from Sun. Has anyone any experience with this kind of setup? Any VME cages to recommend? Another is that we use a conventional sparcstation with a Solflower SFVME-100 Sbus to VME bus link. Anyone have any experience with this beast? Again, advice on VME card cages would be appreciated. (The cage that Solflower will sell you with their adapter comes with a power supply that provides less current than we'll need to drive the Datacube boards ...).
