learning the VAX\VMS and EDT. I was wondering if anyone out there on the net had any information or opinions on the best place to pursue a robotics degree as an undergrad or grad student. I am currently pursuing a CSE undergraduate degree at UTA and I have hopes of going for a Ph.D. at Carnigie Mellon. UTA and CMU are known for there Robotics research, but I was wondering what other people ,both students and researchers, thought about these universities and other u's. Thanks in advance, again. (Please post to the list because around 5 people want ed info on grad schools. . ..) Bytor, Knight of Darkness aka D. Ross Cottrell B645ZCK@UTARLG

Carnegie Mellon's Robotics Institute is a good choice. I am a freshman student at CMU working in the Mobile Robotics Laboratory of RI as a research student. From work, I see many facets of robotics being explored in the Institute. There are many important projects currently in development. It is fascinating to be in such a place. If you are interested, you should send for information from the Robotics Institute. The address, I believe is as follows: Robotics Institute Carnegie Mellon University 5000 Forbes Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15213 There's my two cents' worth... -Jeff =============================================== Jeff Chen Email ID: jc7k@andrew.cmu.edu Plan: Stay alive and avoid poverty.
