There is going to be a steam excursion on the Calif. Western Sat. June 20th. This will be the only STEAM run this year on the Calif. Western (at least thats what the flyer says). Tickets are $20.00. Route will be a 42 mi. round trip from Ft. Bragg to Northspur ( a remote spot in the redwoods). Departs 9:00AM and 1:30PM. You can use your ticket for two round trips. During each trip there will be a photo stop. They need a minimum of 500 paid before April 30th and 500 reservations by March 30th to do this. The address is Mendocino County Railway Society, P.O. I have taken this trip before and found it very enjoyable. It will be pulled by Engine 45, a 1924 Baldwin 2-8-2 (Super Skunk).
