We wish to appoint a recent PhD graduate for a term of 3 years to
undertake research in the development of generic techniques and
artificial intelligence for expert sytems and/or intelligent optimisation
of systems and processes with broad application to design, planning and
operation of engineering systems and facilities, including construction
robotics and software development.

You will need the ability to initiate and carry out original research and
to work effectively in a team. You should have a recent PhD or equivalent 
qualification awarded in the field of computer science, mathematics or
systems engineering with emphasis on AI, and/or neural networks, construction 
robotics.

The Division conducts research in support of Australia's 
building, construction and related engineering industries. It has 
substantial research programs in Planning and Management Systems, 
Construction Materials, Engineering Products and Services, Structural
Engineering and Fire Technology.
