I am writing a thesis; all theses require surveys. To make my survey of robot programming languages fairly up to date, I would like to know what languages people are REALLY using for their robotics work NOW, whether in industry or in academia. a rough rubric guided or taught, offline programming methodology, e.g., object-oriented or procedural user level support and libraries motion, task, or goal level ideal effector, kinematics, dynamics control theory, i.e., position, force, hybrid, potential function data types support, e.g., frames of reference single manipulator/ multiple manipulators and their coordination support for cells in a flexible manufacturing system hooks to computer integrated manufacturing ****** any other criteria I forgot Please mail to me, and I will collect and post, as this seems to be of general interest. -- Jim
