Needed: Stepper motor driver (programming) reference book.
I've been placed in charge of writing a stepper motor driver program.
The program is already completed and works very nicely. The driver
program simply supplies the stepper controllers with the correct signal
(a square wave). It includes linear and circular interpolation with
programmable speed and acceleration rates. I've programed the driver to
accelerate and decelerate using a (programmable) constant. I think
a linear or nonlinear function would work better allowing higher overall
speed rates at smaller ramp distances. Is there a book which I can buy
which talks about the programming involved in driving stepper motors?
How about recommended acceleration curves?
