Plan Nacional de I+D - CICYT. SCOPE The objective of the symposium is to bring together control systems specialists, equipment manufacturers, and end-users, to evaluate the possibilities of techniques, components and instruments for intelligent control. This symposium covers components and instruments employing software and hardware (microprocessors and other special circuits) to implement advanced control strategies and intelligent functions such as self-diagnosis and calibration. Among areas of interest are large scale integration of electronic and mechanical devices, sensor fusion and perception, and intelligent power level components, as well as applications in an increasing number of fields. The symposium technical program will include plenary survey papers, invited sessions and regular technical sessions. TOPICS Intelligent controllers, sensors and actuators. - Smart controllers and supervisors. - Virtual sensors and effectors. - Sensor data fusion. - Active sensing. - Perception systems. - Fault detection and error compensation. - Self-calibration.
