Sponsored by:
IFAC Technical Committee of Components and Instruments.
The Symposium is Co-Sponsored by IFAC Technical Committees
on: Applications, Computers, Education and System Engineering.

Organized by:
Universidad de Malaga (Grupo de Ingenieria de Sistemas y
Automatica) on behalf of the Comite Espanol de la IFAC.

Supported by:
IDEA Andalucia Technology Park.
Sociedad Estatal EXPO'92.
Plan Nacional de I+D - CICYT.

SCOPE
The objective of the symposium is to bring together control
systems specialists, equipment manufacturers, and end-users, to
evaluate the possibilities of techniques, components and instruments for
intelligent control.
This symposium covers components and instruments employing software and
hardware (microprocessors and other special circuits) to implement advanced
control strategies and intelligent functions such as self-diagnosis and
calibration. Among areas of interest are large scale integration of
electronic and mechanical devices, sensor fusion and perception, and
intelligent power level components, as well as applications in an
increasing number of fields.
The symposium technical program will include plenary survey papers,
invited sessions and regular technical sessions.

CONTRIBUTIONS

Five copies of an extended abstract of three pages
(800-1000 words) in English should be sent to the secretariat address.
It must clearly indicate the new contributions and the relevance of the
theme to the Symposium, following the structure:
0. Title and Authors address (E-mail/phone/fax)
1. State of the art
2. New contribution
3. Application or Simulation Results
4. References
5. Five Keywords
Proposals of invited sessions including a brief description of the topics
and a list of prospective authors and titles should be sent to the secretariat
address.
Final papers following the accepted abstracts and the referees suggestions
will be accepted.
