[comp.robotics] FORTH LISP AI RT

cwpjr@cbnewse.att.com (clyde.w.jr.phillips) (04/17/91)

I saw someone comment a bout TI & Lisp yet they didn't mention
that just like symbolics TI has a native lisp processor
workstation called the "TI Explorer". I don't know what if any
mixed language capability it or the symbolics has or hwether
the applications written on these ws's can be "embedded".

But what mising after the mention of FORTH is the new
neural net and fuzzy logic chips. These are gp Uprocessor
addressable cascadable devices that process nets of flogic sets
in "real-time"

I think these are the way tpo go with a forth engine feeding/controling
their use in a RT embedded application.

Any one interested in or even using them yet?

BTW they are:
Mico Devices FSC ( Fuzzy Set Comparator - $250 Eval Kit )
Mico Devices FDC ( Fuzzy Data Correlator )
Mico Devices NBS ( Neural Bit Slice - $395 Eval Kit )

and one other company I forget right now....
