[comp.robotics] Modeling the Environment of a Mobile Security Robot

I recently received in the mail a Naval Ocean Systems Center (NOSC)
Technical Document with the subject title.  I'm posting about it here
because I don't recall requesting it from anyone. (While the subject is
interesting, my project no longer involves even speculation in that area).
The return address says only "Department of the Navy, Commander, NOSC,
Code 535, San Diego ... etc.", so I don't know who actually sent it.

So, in case someone else's request was mis-attributed to me, you'd
probably better request it again.  If that's not the case, my thanks to
whoever did send it.  I will read it, and probably make use of the
information eventually, so it hasn't gone to waste.
