We are currently looking for a sensor subsystem for use in doing
dynamic obstacle avoidance on our mobile robots. We expect that it
will use some form of active IR, although we are open to other
possibilities. We'd like to get something that we can get working
quickly with a minimum of effort. Our robots are built on RWI B12
bases, although we will soon also have a larger RWI base. We've seen
a system that looks very much like what we want from Nomadic
Technologies, and I'm posting here to see if anyone out there knows of
any other sources for this sort of thing. Please respond by mail;
I'll summarize if there's enough interest.
