My Kermit died a couple of weeks ago, after one of my MIDI Manager applications crashed in a rather bizarre manner (that was my fault, though). Kermit 0.9 complained that it couldn't open either the RAM or ROM serial drivers. Kermit 0.8 gave me error -21 (bad unit number?). Changing copies of Kermit or the System file didn't fix it, so I guessed it was something in the PRAM. Sure enough, pulling out the battery for a few minutes fixed it. So, I don't have the problem any more, but I'm curious what it was (and others may run into this). Anybody have any ideas?
