Historically the place for AppleTalk-related matters has been comp.protocols.appletalk. Now the traffic seems split between there and comp.sys.mac.comm. I havn't got the original announcements (not on this machine) so I don't know what c.s.m.comm was meant to be for, but I hoped it was for serial comms and like matters. Now I find I'm having to read TWO newsgroups instead of one, and am naturally coming across a lot of articles twice. This is a real pain at 2400 baud, and especially on this reader (reasons deleted)! Is there any way we can come to a concensus on which group is appropriate for AppleTalk or is the genie out of the bottle? For most of you this is probably a waste of network badnwidth, so POST you responses back to me, be it flames, votes, suggestions or quotes from the original long-lost announcements that prove me wrong. Thank you for your time (and P4 Phosphor and ribbons and pixels and....).
