Has anyone had the following happen to them while using ZTerm? I found it occurs most often when using some heavy vt100 program, like TPU on a vax or occasionally any curses program on unix. ZTerm writes a line of output in the status bar and the bottom of the window: --------------- | || | Text Area || < scrollbar | || --------------| | Status || -------------- Is that a pretty bad rendition of a mac window, or what? Anyway, this happens at least once every login. -- Clay Luther {texbell, ntvax, iex}!supernet!cluther Usenet/UUCP Manager supernet!cluther%iex.uucp@dept.csci.unt.edu Postmaster texbell!supernet!cluther@uunet.UU.NET Harris Adacom Corp, Dallas, Tx cluther@supernet.UUCP

I have found that it is VERY IMPORTANT that the termcap you are using to define the screen size exactly match the screen size you are using. From cluther@supernet.UUCP (Clay Luther) come these immortal words: >Has anyone had the following happen to them while using ZTerm? I found it >occurs most often when using some heavy vt100 program, like TPU on a vax or >occasionally any curses program on unix. >ZTerm writes a line of output in the status bar and the bottom of the window: Yeah, that happens to me a lot, and also, there is a LOT of "flashing" on the screen when VT10x escape codes are interpreted, and especially when a clear-screen is hit -- the whole display flickers and sometimes text is overwritten. This gets hard on the eyes; in fact it's why I try to use ZTerm as little as possible. (Of course, with the ethernet connection it's a bit easier now...) :-) >Clay Luther Derek L.
