I am moving to CO from SC and am considering shipping my off-season
belongings, etc. via AMTRAK.
Has anyone out there ever trusted shipments to the rails?
Any other (cheap) suggestions?

So long as it's securely packed, so you wouldn't be too horrified if they dropped it while loading or unloading, there's never been any problem. Sent some hefty things, too, such as my bicycle and a large Diablo printer. I leave stuff off and picked it up at the train station myself. John Levine, ima!johnl
