I have a problem getting my mac connected to the world using gnuucp, and any help or pointers to help would be appreciated: The scenario: I am running gnuucp with Eudora as front end (Eudora is wonderful stuff, by the way - and free!). gnuucp is running in answer mode (i.e. it awaits incoming calls from upstream). On a unix host (a Sequent running DYNIX V3.0.17.9) I have set up uucp to call my mac whenever there is mail for it (uucico -r1). The modem is a Hayes compatible one. The problem: After succesfully transferring any mail, and claiming that it has terminated the session, the unix uucico does not hang up the phone, nor does gnuucp. The result is an open line between the two, to the detriment of subsequent attempts to call out from the unix box, or into my home phone. So, how do I tell my unix box to hang up the phone at the end of the session?
