X-window was made for a 3-button mouse. MacX uses the arrow keys to make up from the two missing mouse buttons -- and practical but annoying solution. Are there any three button mouses available for the Mac that will allow you to program the second and third buttons to emulate the keystokes expected by MacX? Perhaps the developers would care to identify themselves? ---Jason jason@cs.utexas.edu

This month's MacUser has an ad from Mouse Systems for a thing called
3
A Mouse
It claims it's A/UX, X-Windows, MacOS -able, but I haven't seen anyone
selling them yet. It's optical, not mechanical (yay!).
