HELP!!!! We're having some problems with NCSA TelNet 2.3 ... we can't get it to connect, yet we had it working recently. Allow me to explain our setup ... Simon and I have a Mac SE (2.5 megs) with an EtherPort SE card in it hooked up to .sirius at Adelaide Uni. Now, as well as doing the usual things with it (like running some server space on sirius) we _used_ to be able to run TelNet quite happily. Last week, the internal HD went _foom_ so the Mac went away to get fixed. Alas for us, the hard rive had to be replaced! So ... we spemt all day rebuilding our hard drive (didn't have a backup - I KNOW I KNOW, don't lecture me (hmph! ;->) and booted up T elNet ... "Cannot connect to server Sirius" says Telnet. ??????? Looks at desktop ... two server vols, "Simon's Files" and "MacSirius" are both alive and well ... goes back to TelNet ... not an electronic sausage. We've tried different ethernet drivers, fiddling with config.tel, but nothing works. Can someone please tell us what setups (system vers, ethernet driver vers, etc) they are running so we can figure this one out? Thanks in advance Geoff Peters APC: peg:mididoc uucp: mididoc@peg.pegasus.oz.au
