I've been playing around with MacTCP and the XCMD example stack. So far, I haven't been able to get two macs to communicate with each other, although I can open a connection to a vax. The macs are appletalked together, and the appletalk network passes through a gatorbox to an ethernet backbone. Shouldn't the IP datagrams pass through the gatorbox and then to the other mac? I'd appreciate any clues! Lee -------------------------------------------- Lee Fyock The MITRE Corporation Lee_Fyock.D62@qmgate.mitre.org laf@mbunix.mitre.org Bedford, MA

Any version before 1.5X0 eats TCP/IP packets directed from one Mac to another *within the same AppleTalk zone*. I notified Cayman of this problem and they quickly fixed it and sent me the version with the bug fix. (Another recommendation for Cayman Tech Support!) You might wish to contact them (via E-mail: cindy@cayman.com) if you would like this fix. Nelson Claytor University of Pennsylvania Physics Department
