[comp.sys.mac.comm] TCP/IP over AppleTalk for Apple IIgs????

royce@scoraz.resp-sci.arizona.edu (Royce Robbins) (11/01/90)

Title says it all: Is there such a thing as a package that will let my
Apple IIgs do TCP/IP over AppleTalk (like MacTCP + stuff) or even over
ethernet?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Not currently. However, I among others are working on it because we want it
too. My success with various simple AppleTalk utilities (all written entirely
with ORCA/C) indicates to me that it can be done, and I do have all the
necessary specifications and references to implement telnet/FTP service on
a IIgs.

Watch comp.sys.apple2 and comp.binaries.apple2 -- as soon as we get something
usable it'll be posted &/or announced there.
