I ftp'ed the Telnet from ftp.cicso.com which suppose to support SLIP. But I don't know how config it. What I want to do is to run SLIP telnet on my SE/30 at home, dial in via a 2400 supra modem to an IBM RS/6000 at school which support SLIP. But I don't know how to make the Telnet dial the phone number. Is there anyone using SLIP over modem? Can it be done? Any help is welcome. Thanks a lot. I'm also trying to use Cisco Systems' version of NCSA Telnet hacked for SLIP support, and I can't get it to work either. Email to Cisco'a address got me a short note to add "hardware=slip2400" to the config.tel file. I'm connecting to a Cisco terminal server, and it responds with an ip address if I type "slip" to it, so something's working. I tried copying the ip address to the config.tel file, but the program just quits after flashing the title screen, as it's done all along. My system is: iici, 8 meg ram, 2400 baud MNP5 modem (connected to same). any help would be appreciated! bob prohaska
