Here's a question for the Net-Gurus: (I hope it's not something obvious! =) I transfer quite a bit of stuff via Anonymous FTP. Since my Mac isn't connected to the Internet, I do all my transfer at work - which are unfortunately IBM PS/2's. (But at least they're on the Internet! :) It's not that big a deal, since I just bring the floppies home, and use Apple File Exchange to transfer everything to the Mac. However, there is a lengthy process involved in transfering all this stuff: (1) Run A.F.E. (2) Run BinHex 5.0 on all the files just transferred, to convert them to their proper type on the Mac. (I probably should mention most of the stuff I get comes from 'rascal', which has binary files, and not Bin- Hex'd files...) (3) Run StuffIt and unstuff (or BinHex 4.0, if necessary) any files I just transferred. What I'd LIKE to be able to do is have A.F.E. do the conversion from Mac- Binary on the fly, so instead of the generic "document" icon I usually get, instead have it be a StuffIt or Compactor file. Is there any easy way to do this? Is there a P.D. translator to do this? Any leads/info/suggestions would be appreciated.
