[comp.sys.mac.comm] Seamless Email between Netware, 3+, and Appletalk

louie@cellar.bae.bellcore.com (Paul Louie) (11/15/90)

Hi Netters,

I have 3 networks that needs email services to each other. Two of them
are local to each other. One is a PC network running 3Com 3+. The other
is MACs running Appletalk. These two are bridged together with a Kinetics
router. The third is remote and it runs Novell Adv 286 Netware 2.15. The
NW users are using cc.Mail.

Does anyone know of a way for the users to send and receive email from
each other in their native environment/user interface? I thought of having
a X.400 gateway for the MACs and 3+ networks, because cc.Mail has this
feature. But is there such an animal? How does the formatting for the
mail work???

Any suggestions, comments, pointing of directions are appreciated!

Paul

Your best bet may be The Network Courier by Consumer's Software in
Vancouver, BC. I think they can hack all parts of that problem. Don't
have the number handy; I am pretty sure they have a state-side 800
number though.
