Has anyone sucessfully sent mail between applelink and internet recently ? How do you do it ? Description of problem follows for those that are interested I am trying to get mail though to an applelink site here in Ireland: Apple computers in Cork. The user name that I want to send to is "cork.pcb". I have tried sending to "cork.pcb@applelink.apple.com" as suggested in John Chew's inter network mail guide #F internet #T applelink #R user #I send to "user@applelink.apple.com" Are there any domains in applelink ? Are user names unique and globally known and how are messages routed ? Can you specify a ! path like uucp ? How does a person on Applelink reply ? Again, from John Chew's guide #F applelink #T internet #R user@domain #I send to "user@domain@internet#" #I domain can be be of the form "site.bitnet", address must be <35 characters I suggested sending to "phrrngtn@cs.tcd.ie@internet#" but that does not appear to work. Perhaps it just takes longer than the 24 hours that I have waited. It seems silly to have to use a gateway in the states just to talk over the 100 or so miles. Both parties have X25 connections to Eirpac, the national packet switched service. Is there any Mac mailing software that knows about PSI ? Thanks pH
