Everytime I try and call a host computer using Mac/gnuucp, my machine locks up. Closer examination (with TMON) shows that the machine is endlessly looping in a ROM routine called _SyncWait. I am using a Macintosh SE/30, and System 6.0.5. This has happened before using some other telecom programs. Is this a bug in the serial drivers? Does anyone else have this problem too? -- John Mah binky@micor.uucp

Due to some comments from myself and others a fix was made to prevent the problems you are experiencing.
