Thank you all who replied to my posting - Long live UseNet! Pete Resnick got it - apparently, the Cabletron card (model E6020-X) doesn't like the segment size that MacTCP is trying to get it to use. I applied Steve Dorner's patch to my copy of MacTCP, and now I've got no hangups. (-: (-: (-: Ken Weeks National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. I have a NuvoLink SC scsi/ethernet device and have had problems with MacTCP based applications. The NuvoLink hangs for some reason. Steve Dorners patch seems to have solved the problem in this case also - (MacTCP1.0.1 is being used)
