We have a user here who would like to communicate to both Unix and VMS with Tek 4105 emulation. DEC's Lan Works is also in the picture but I'm not sure where it fits in the picture. Would something like VersaTerm-Pro use the CommToolBox via an Ethernet card work? Any ideas or people in similar situations would be helpful. ======================= John Rocchio Workstation Consultant UC Santa Cruz johnroc@ucsco.ucsc.edu johnroc@ucsco.BITNET

Advanced Tech in France InterCon Systems And I think the VersaTerm people themselves. AT and InterCon supply MacTCP with the tool. We tried the newer CommTBX version of Versaterm (not Pro) 4.0 with the LANWorks connection tools, particularly the LAT tool, and things worked just fine. I'd say your odds are very good if VPro has the emulation you want. I think I recall Leonard also mentioning that Microphone II V3 has CTBX support. There are a couple of good TCP connection tools available, one from Intercon and another called TCPack from a French firm. I've tried TCPack demo and it worked fine ... have ordered the Intercon product, which has come highly recommended from a friend at Telebit.
