[comp.sys.mac.comm] LC Ethernet w/ FPU,PMMU?

APPLEREP@MTUS5.BITNET (12/17/90)

Howdy from the Great White North!

I am one of the Apple Student Reps at Michigan Tech, a medium sized
engineering school. We have a number of faculty that are interested
in the Macintosh LC because of it's price. However, they are turned
off by it's lack of Math Co-processor (which is quite important for
doing Techie type work).

Seeing how the lab proposals will probably call for ethernet networking,
are there any ethernet cards planned for the LC that will include (or
include sockets for) an FPU and/or a PMMU? I feel that this capability
will be a greatly valued feature on any card planned for the LC (from
my perspective, anyways).

Thank you for any info that you can give me. If enough interest is shown,
I will summarize to the net.
