[comp.sys.mac.comm] MacTCP over Hayes Interbridges???

jensen@groucho.cc.fsu.edu (Phil Jensen) (12/13/90)

Has anyone had any experience using MacTCP across Localtalk zones bridged by
Hayes Interbridges? I'm trying to use MacTCP (NCSA Telnet or tn3270) across
such a network to a GatorBox in another zone. Using Interpoll, my Mac can see
the GatorBox and the IPADDRESS service, but when I try the applications, I am
unable to connect to any host on the net. I'm using MacTCP 1.0.1, and I've
tried it out at another site here over a Liaison-bridged Localtalk just fine.
I'm not sure what level of firmware the Interbridges have, but I do know that
it is at least 18 months old.

Thanks in advance,

Yes. But not thru a gator box. I have an interbridge after a kinetic
box and NCSA Telnet is working fine. I am not sure if your set up
on the Gator is right but check it again. It should work.

When you test it on liason, you did not test it on the same site, so
that does not mean that interbridge is the problem. The best way to
test the bridge is to connect the bridge in place of liason.
