[comp.sys.mac.comm] ZTerm 0.85 resources

ramsey@rbdc (Ramsey Dow) (12/24/90)

I really like ZTerm's "Send Bin" and "Bin Detect" resources. Here are some
that I recently did up. Just add these strings to the respective STR#s with
ResEdit. (N.B.: bracketed text are comments; don't include them.)

STR#330 "Send Bin"

PACT [Compactor archives]
SIT! [StuffIt archives]
TARF [MacTar tape archives]
ZIVU [MacCompress compressed files (UNIX format)]

STR#335 "Bin Detect"

0QGifGIFfGIF87 [GIF files (with QuickGIF as the owner)]
1CPCTPACT.CPT [Compactor archives]
1SIT!SIT!.SIT [StuffIt archives]
1TAR TARF.TAR [MacTar tape archives]
1LZIVZIVU.Z [MacCompress compressed files (UNIX format)]

Does anyone have any idea when (or if) a new release of ZTerm will appear?
Will it finally support command scripting and autologin procedures?

Rgds.,

re: when/what next release of zterm will be...

With my recent registration, the author, David P. Alverson,
72155.1560@compuserve.com, 5636 Cross Creek Ct., Mason, OH 45040,
$30 to register, $40 including disk with latest release, says he's
working on 0.9, it will include scripting, "soon".

To get the latest release, you can send him a formatted disk and postage-
paid return envelope, or disk + envelope + $2 for postage, or just $10.
Or register for $40 and he'll send you 0.9 when it comes out.

    > "soon".

Dave Alverson has been saying "soon" since last November, if memory serves
me right. I stopped holding my breath earlier this year.

Would anyone care to postulate on what will come out first - System 7.0 or
ZTerm 0.9?
